The lure of hypnosis - about me
I can remember as far back as elementary school when I checked a book about hypnosis out of the library. At that time there was just too much information for me to assimilate. A lifelong interest in hypnosis was born. As time went on I bought books about hypnosis and self-hypnosis and practiced self-hypnosis. Some of the books were very good and some of them were terrible. Most were just average. As I grew older, the interest in hypnosis took back burner but has never gone away. I had a variety of manual and middle management jobs until I injured my back and returned to college. At 37, I went back to college and earned my Bachelor’s Degree and my Master’s Degree. I served an internship and became licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. After a while, I went into private practice and finally started looking for training in hypnosis. I found the training, and in my case the training was very poor. I then started my quest for training in hypnosis that excelled. I was lucky enough to find this training and that will be some of the discussion on this blog. I will also talk about how the consumer will be able to locatea hypnotist that excel in their practices and what to expect for these practitioners. I am interested in starting a dialog between practitioners and the consumers.
At the age if 16, I started playing guitar. Over the years, I have gone for short periods of time without playing but for the most part, I have continued to play for all of my adult life. I have favored many types of music at different times of my life but currently I enjoy playing acoustc guitar. I play mostly blues and folk music with assorted other fingerstyle tunes thrown in.
I have also become interested in woodworking. I have a small woodworking shop and I am learning woodworking skills.
A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes.
I also enjoy playing in Texas Hold Em tournaments and my nickname is The Hypnotist.
To put all of this together, I have developed theories about hypnosis and the best way apply these theories. I have developed methods of using hypnosis to make huge advances in guitar playing. I have developed methods of using hypnosis to manage my diabetes. I haven’t developed methods of using hypnosis to improve my woodworking skills because I need my fingers to play guitar and I am not sure that I can guarantee that.
I will be talking about these theories as the blog progresses and I will also be offering programs for sale to the public as soon as I am satisfied with the sound quality of the files. I will be offering other files to address other subjects, some of them free. I will also offer book reviews on books that have helped me further my knowledge of hypnosis and other disciplines such as NLP and various self-help methods and books that can help the consumer make better choices in Hypnotists or areas of self-help or self-hypnosis..
Please feel free to become part of the community, take part in discussions and offer your opinions.
